Job Description

Location: Sabah Working Hours: Weekends only, 10 am to 4 pm Job Type: Part-time

Responsibilities:

  1. Greet customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance in their selection of badminton equipment.
  2. Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable products based on their skill level, playing style, and budget.
  3. Conduct product demonstrations, explaining features, and highlighting benefits to help customers make informed purchasing decisions.
  4. Maintain a clean and organized store environment, ensuring products are properly displayed and shelves are stocked.
  5. Process cash and card transactions accurately using the store's point-of-sale (POS) system.
  6. Assist with inventory management, including receiving and checking stock, tagging products, and updating inventory records.
  7. Collaborate with the team to achieve sales targets and contribute to a positive working atmosphere.
  8. Stay updated on the latest trends, developments, and product releases in the badminton industry.
  9. Attend training sessions and product knowledge sessions to enhance expertise and sales skills.
  10. Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns in a professional and timely manner.
  11. Maintain a high level of customer service and build strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business.
  12. Strive to meet or exceed individual and store sales targets.
  13. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

Compensation:

  • Monthly salary of RM500 plus commission based on sales performance.

Note: As a part-time role, the job primarily requires working on weekends from 10 am to 4 pm. It is important to be punctual and reliable for the assigned shifts at the physical store location in Sabah.

Job Requirements

  1. -Passion for Badminton: A genuine love and understanding of the sport of badminton, including its equipment, rules, and player needs.

  2. -Product Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of different badminton equipment, including rackets, shuttlecocks, shoes, apparel, and accessories.

    -Understanding the features, benefits, and differences between various brands and models.

  3. -Sales Experience: Proven track record in a sales or retail environment, demonstrating excellent customer service skills and the ability to meet sales targets.

    -Experience in sports retail or specifically in badminton-related sales is a plus.

  4. -Customer Focus: Ability to engage with customers, understand their requirements, and provide appropriate product recommendations. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build lasting customer relationships and provide exceptional service.

  5. -Product Presentation: Proficiency in presenting and showcasing products effectively, highlighting their features and benefits to customers. Ability to handle product demonstrations and answer customer queries.

  6. -Team Player: Capable of working collaboratively with colleagues and management to achieve store goals. Willingness to assist in inventory management, visual merchandising, and other store operations tasks as needed.

  7. -Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment, being flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and customer demands.

  8. -Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate product records, handle cash transactions, and ensure the cleanliness and organization of the store.

  9. -Technology Proficiency: Comfortable using point-of-sale (POS) systems, inventory management software, and other retail technology tools.

  10. -Physical Stamina: Being able to stand for extended periods, lift and carry boxes, and perform tasks that require physical exertion.

  11. -Multilingual Skills: Proficiency in multiple languages, especially if the store caters to a diverse customer base, can be an advantage.
